  • Automation:

    • Excel: You can set up external data connections in Excel to automatically refresh data from sources like databases or web feeds at specified intervals. 
    • Power BI: Automatic page refresh in Power BI enables active report pages to query for new data from DirectQuery sources at a predefined cadence, ensuring visuals reflect the latest data. 
    • Power Automate: You can use Power Automate to automate data refreshes in Power BI, triggering refreshes based on events like new data being added to a SharePoint list or a user clicking a button. 
    • Azure Automation: You can use Azure Automation Runbooks to schedule refreshes of Azure Analysis Services models. 
  • Web Page Refresh:
    • Browser Extensions: Browser extensions like "Auto Refresh Plus" and "Easy Auto Refresh" allow users to automatically refresh web pages at specified intervals or based on certain conditions. 
    • Page Monitor: Some extensions also include a page monitor feature that alerts users to specific changes or events on a webpage, such as price drops or stock updates.
